Almeda Rive

 I am looking for sponsorship to help me compete on the Women's Canadian Dirt Biking Team in Mexico in November 2010.

I have been selected to be part of the first Canadian woman’s team, for Team Canada, going to the 2010 ISDE in Mexico.  This costs over $10,000.00 just to get there and compete.  This is why I am looking for sponsorship.  

My name is Almeda Rive.  I am a very motivated, driven and ambitious woman when it comes to my passions, the major one being dirt bike riding.

I started riding when I was 11 years old.  I started competing in 2003.  I did not compete last year but rode three to four times a week in the summer.   I go out trail riding in the winter every weekend no matter what the weather.  I have increased my riding time from 4 days a week to 6 days a week when possible. In the mornings I do a cardio workout.

In the past I have always raced the woman's class but this year I will compete in the intermediate men's section.

I have been a motivated athlete all my life.  I have competed in swimming (set provincial records), dancing, riding and underwater hockey.  I was the only Albertan selected to be a member of the Canadian Woman's Elite Underwater Hockey team in 2006.  We competed at the Underwater Hockey World Championships in Sheffield, England where we got the silver medal after losing by one point in the sudden death round to Australia.

I received my Personal Trainer's Certificate last year in order to educate myself further on nutrition and fitness regimes

I am looking for any kind of sponsorship possible seeing that every penny counts. The girls and I are working on a calendar, stickers, shirts and hoodies to help with fundraising. We will advertise all our sponsors on our material.  I will be looking to get a new KTM 200 for either a race bike or a practice bike seeing that I love my current one. I am also more than happy to be a spokes person or help out in any way for my sponsors at events, shows, etc.
